Tim, can i have a look at those guide files?
I might be able to make smaller version without killing the quality.

Tim,
As far as I can remember most of the places you listed are on climbing.ie "climbing locations".Some places do not show on the map but just go into any location. There are 3 selection boxes. The county choice does not work anymore but click on the "crag" option and you will see the full list of what is in the database and should be able to find what you want.
• 12 Bens: Everything in this guidebook plus some stuff from New Climbs is in the database but under its valley/mountain location, e.g. Gleann Cochain, Gleann Eidhneach etc. (influenced by Tim Robinson) • Bray Head: a lot of the routes are dangerous to go to because of the increased number of trains on the line since 1975 but the safe routes are in the database and will be in the new Wicklow guide which will be going to print at the end of next month. Really and truly. The Scalp, Bullock Harbour(?) and Ireland's Eye from that guide are in the DB. Rocky Valley and the Bishop will be in the new guide. Avondale Quarry is working again. • Comeraghs this is all in the database • Kinsale and Oysterhaven If John Goodall does not do it I could OCR the files into text. • Coum Gowlaun in the database but maybe not complete • Gap of Dunloe in the database

Shayoh there is however the original guidebook scans have that the route descriptions don't have & that's pictures. Can be helpful sometimes over the desciptions when trying to find a route.

Hi Tim, 40MB worth of scans, in nowadays terms, is very small. Anyone with a decent broadband connection could download them in a matter of minutes. For the past year I'm using Rapidshare for sharing files with my friends ( http://www.rapidshare.com/). I currently own an account and I'll be more than happy to upload your files and host them. Once uploaded, each file (be it archive or any other file) gets an individual direct link, which can be posted on this forum or any other website. It will definitely save you the postage and the costs for CDs, plus it would be available for anyone interested in the matter. My e-mail address is: radu.o.toma at gmail.com Radu

Am I the only person who cannot get into "new routes"?
Anyway, the topo from the Bens Guide and most of those from Bray Head and minor crags around Dublin are in there.
Any chance of somebody adding in the remainder and also the Kinsale and Oysterhaven guide so that they will be findable in the future?
I know they should be in the DB but in the absence of a door into that "new routes" is the second best option.

Anyway specifically i'm looking for info on seventh heaven & the other routes to the climbers right of it. Has anyone got any decent topos or clear pictures of lines & descriptions for these. Does a guidebook or section there of exist for this area. There is loads of this kind of climbing all along the west coast and a lot of it in the Galway Mayo area is only semi documented or not documented at all. I think I found this topo on climbing .ie but can’t seem to locate it now its from the old twelve benn’s guide book which is available from the MCI library. It is my intention to mark the routes on a photo as soon as I’m sure of them all and put them on line. Also I was thinking of building a small cairn at the foot of routes that are hard to locate when close in to the mountain/cliff any thoughts on this, or would I be removing part of the challenge of the mountains? Liam. Am moving house at the mo and going through my stuff came across an original copy of the above guide. If anybody would like any info from it (scans?), it contains most of the routes (up to 1985 anyhoo) in the Carrot Ridge area.

The green line misses the first two crux pitches of Carrot ridge, it should start at the bottom of the pinkish slabs to the right

There is now a better (I hope) variation on the Ben Corr topo drawn by Joss Lynam in the New Routes wiki
